Harry Watts, a Chiang Mai Cultural Ambassador, Receives Prestigious Awards

“Harit Harry Watt (Harry), a 14-year-old Chiang Mai native, will be honoured with two prestigious awards on National Youth Day 2024. Harry, a Year 9 student at Lanna International School, will receive the Tonkla Semakunathon Award (a plaque from the Prime Minister) and the Outstanding Youth Role Model Award 2024 (a plaque from the Minister of Education).
A talented young man with Thai-English heritage, Harry’s artistic inclination is evident. He is the son of a retired engineer and a housewife, and has a sister working as a policy and planning officer at Chiang Mai University Library.
Despite his bilingual upbringing, and studying since Year 1 at Lanna International School, Harry’s connection to Thai culture has deepened over the years…”
