It has been an eventful year for the Secondary Lanna Houses and our students can take great pride in all they have accomplished. We had a fantastic start to the year, with our students choosing their own House names. Em from Year 12 was our winner by popular vote with Athena, Artemis, Apollo and Aphrodite. Shortly after our very talented designers in yr 10, Alice and Sang Yu gave us our beautiful House sigil designs, which will be used to represent our Houses for years to come.
Since then, we’ve had non-stop fun gaining points in a wide variety of competitions, in which students have been showcasing their talents in art, music, sports, drama, games, writing, debate and so much more!
Our termly raffles have been a huge success by way of recognising everyone’s contributions and achievements, as have the regular LQ and Lanna News updates!
Our final awards ceremony was a huge success, awarding winners not just in the winning House, but also recognising our top achievers in each of the Houses for all their hard work.
Every House has worked incredibly hard throughout the year and the final scores were only margins apart!
House Artemis stole the win with an impressive 12,370 points. Followed closely by House Athena with 12,308 points.House Apollo was not far behind with 10,789 points. House Aphrodite also managed to raise a reputable 10,310 points.
The top achievers in each of the Houses were celebrated and rewarded in our House Awards 2021 ceremony during the last week of the school year:
House Artemis1st in House: Angelina Charms, contributed 650 points 2nd in House: Mitch (Yr8), contributed 400 points 3rd in House: Pedro (Yr7), Caleb (Yr8), Sam (Yr9), contributed 350 points.
House Athena1st in House: Ethan (Yr9) contributed 600 points 2nd in House: Aran (Yr10), contributed 534 points 3rd in House: Linda, Hebe (Yr7), contributed 500 points.
House Apollo1st in House: Kathy (Yr8), Em (Yr12) contributed 600 points 2nd in House: Cindy, Mike X (Yr8), contributed 550 points 3rd in House: Eva (Yr8), contributed 400 points.
House Aphrodite 1st in House: Alyssa B (Yr7) contributed 500 points 2nd in House: Aliza (Yr17), contributed 450 points 3rd in House: Jane (Yr10), contributed 400 points.
